Judge Don Kennedy has had a varied career as a county seat lawyer, a legislator, trial court judge and judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals, and senior judge for the state of Missouri. He first created the story of Oliver, the Weak-Tailed Possum for his own children and has told it to many others through two generations. Judge Kennedy is the father of author Jennifer Kennedy Dean.
