I’m thrilled to be releasing this updated anniversary edition of Live a Praying Life. This is my life’s work. It is the culmination of my most passionate pursuit. It is in my nature to ask every question, challenge every assertion, follow every thread to its end. Over decades, I have wrestled with these truths, road-tested them, absorbed them, questioned them, affirmed them.

Live a Praying Life is my own journey. I have found over all these years, that many are on the journey with me. It is my prayer that you will find that this study welcomes the hard questions,-- like “If God is sovereign, why do we pray?” –and creates new frames through which to view eternal truths.

I have incorporated interactive questions to bring the reader on the journey with me, not just give my opinions. The reader will be immersed in the living Word, and will see quotes from classic writers whose work has stood the test of time. They will be challenged to confront misconceptions about prayer, and face their own disappointments in prayer. I hope it is the grandest adventure.
